Disguise

(Appearance, Body Language, Voice, Disguise Others)

The Disguise skill allows a character to alter aspects of their appearance, behavior, or other personal traits to pass as someone or something else. This skill is crucial when the character needs to blend in, impersonate someone, or avoid detection. The effectiveness of a disguise is determined through Opposed Skill Flips, typically against the Notice [SP] skill of others.

General Rules

  • Opposed Skill Flips: The effectiveness of a disguise is determined through an Opposed Skill Flip against the Notice [SP] skill of those interacting with the disguised character.
  • Suspicious Actions: If the character acts suspiciously or goes where they shouldn’t, they may suffer penalties like (shift-1) or (flip-1) during the Opposed Skill Flip.
  • Impersonating Specific Individuals: If the character is attempting to impersonate someone known to those they interact with, those people may gain bonuses like (shift+1) or (flip+1) to oppose the disguise.

Appearance

The most basic form of disguise, this involves changing one’s physical look, such as hair, makeup, or clothing.
