Sanctioned Witch Hunter
There have always been practitioners of the magical arts who break the laws of both nature and Church. Occasionally, a Church specialist is dispatched to investigate, one who is trained to see the sometimes subtle differences between reality and the arcane. It is more than a coincidence that these same men and women make expert fighters against the Shadow.

Talents
Rank 1: Trained in the Shadows
- You may attempt to detect Corruption within an individual. To make the check, perform a contested skill check with your Investigation against the target’s Persuasion or Discipline, whichever is higher. Your opponent takes a (flip-1) penalty for each full rank of Corruption it possesses (although the GM should keep this secret). Success allows you to determine the ranks of Corruption the target has. In a combat encounter, you may perform the same test by taking the Use a Skill action.
- You gain (flip+1) to resist Corruption.
- You gain +1 Physical Attack <PA> when attacking an enemy that you know is Corrupted.
Rank 2: The Study Before the Fight
- You automatically know if a creature you can perceive has the Shadow keyword.
- When you encounter a creature with the Shadow keyword, you may take the Use a Skill action as zero-cost. Make an Unopposed Skill flip with an Average DTN. If you succeed, you recall one specific strength or weakness for that creature.
- You gain +1 Damage when attacking an enemy with the Shadow keyword.
Rank 3: Strike Fast and True
- You may subtract 1 phase from the time it takes to perform attack-related actions when attacking a creature with the Shadow keyword or an individual you know to be Corrupted.
Rank 4: Debilitating Attacks
- Each time you hit a creature with the Shadow keyword or an individual you know to be Corrupted, the enemy target gains the Bleeding or Slowed condition.
Rank 5: To Shatter the Darkness
- Against creatures with the Shadow keyword or an individual you know to be corrupted, you gain +2 Damage when attacking.
- You may subtract 1 additional phase from the time it takes to perform attack-related actions when attacking a creature with the Shadow keyword or an individual you know to be Corrupted.
